Kennesaw State played their final game of the season in the state of Alabama, and the Owls are probably grateful for that. Across four games against Alabama and Alabama Huntsville, Kennesaw State was outscored 31-8. Two humbling trips to the Heart of Dixie got the 2022-23 season off to a rough start, but there is plenty of time to turn things around.
Despite the defensive breakdown, the Owls were able to triple their goal output for the whole season in the Saturday night tilt. If Kennesaw State can capitalize on the offensive outburst, the results could start to turn for them. The bigger focus should be on the number of goals the team has allowed so far. This is the third straight game that the opposition has scored at least eight goals on Kennesaw State, and this is certainly not a recipe for success.
The Owls are in action next on Friday, September 23rd, against Middle Tennessee State in their home opener at the Atlanta Ice House.
