On the eve of Georgia’s highly anticipated football game against top-ranked Tennessee in
Athens, the Ice Dawgs put up a pair of touchdowns in a 14-0 thrashing of Kennesaw State.
Unfortunately for the Owls, it would have taken much more than just two possessions to get the
game tied again.
The Marietta Ice House was filled to the brim in anticipation of the first meeting between the
in-state rivals this season. But the game's fate was only in question for a few short minutes.
Georgia raced out to a 5-0 lead in under 8 minutes, and KSU couldn’t generate sustained
offense to battle back.
The loss moved Kennesaw State’s division record to 0-4, in a distant last place. Next Friday the
Owls will play host to Tennessee in their 4th home game of the season. Their home record
stands at 1-2.
