The Kennesaw State Owls have been selected for the AAU National Championship in West
Chester, PA, and the tournament is fast approaching! The Owls look to bounce back from a
disappointing showing in the College Hockey South conference tournament. After winning their
quarterfinal game, KSU lost both in the semifinal and third-place games to leave Lakeland
empty-handed.
Eight Division 3 teams have been divided into two pools and will play each other round-robin
style. After group play, the top two teams in each group will advance to the playoff round. Pool
play will last from March 9th to the 11th, with the Playoff round played on the 12th and 13th.
Kennesaw State was assigned to Pool B alongside Florida Southern, Quincy College, and
Alvernia University. The Owls lost to Florida Southern in the semifinals of the CHS Conference
tournament on Feb. 17th. It was a hard-fought 6-4 loss that the Owls will have a chance to
avenge on the 11th.
