Hudson Orgeron(93) scored on a 4-on-3 powerplay 53 seconds into overtime to give Kennesaw
State their second win of the season on Friday night. Orgeron tipped a net-front pass from
James Kravis(66) that sent the home crowd into a frenzy at The Cooler.
KSU’s win friday was their second win over Georgia this season, and evens their record at 2-2.
Orgeron opened the scoring in the first period, and much like his game winning tally, he scored
in close proximity to the net. Owl goal scoring leader Chris Scott(48) would score shortly after to
bring his season total to 6, with half of his goals coming on the powerplay.
The Bulldogs would storm back with 4 straight goals to lead 4-2 early in the third period. But the
Owls would answer back with 3 goals of their own from James Kravis(66), Adrian Pape(68), and
Michael Cooprider(8); all of which were their first of the season. Georgia would tie the game one
final time at 5 before the overtime goal by Orgeron would tip the seesaw in the Owl’s favor for
the final time.
Goaltender Taveon Dees(35), earned the win for Kennesaw State, bringing his season record to
1-1.
